YOU are invited!
The Ursuline Sisters of Louisville invite you to a “Come and See” gathering this March to learn more about the Ursuline Associate Call. The Associate Call is open to Christian women and men, eighteen years and older, who feel they would benefit from a relationship with the Ursuline Sisters. It is a free event and is meant to introduce all to a community that supports and provides for spiritual growth through the Christian values and ideals taught by Saint Angela Merici. The “Come and See” event will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in Brescia Hall (Bldg. #3) on the Ursuline Campus, 3105 Lexington Road. For further information call the Associate Office at 896-3956 or e-mail sstauble@ursulineslou.org. |

The Ursuline Associates are a group of women and men - married and single - who share a life of prayer and service with the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville. Being an Ursuline Associate allows women and men to join with us through prayer and ministry without a vowed commitment or living in community. Come join us at one of our events (listed at left).
While many have full-time jobs or work outside the home in some capacity, associates desire to help the Ursuline Sisters in their mission. Many associates work side by side with the sisters, volunteering in their various ministries. Others experience the support of the congregation as they minister in many different areas, living out the call of Christ and the charism of Saint Angela Merici.

Ursuline Associate Also Hall of Fame Inductee |

Congratulations to our Associate Ruby Hyde! She was recently inducted into the Presbyterian Community Center’s Hall of Fame. Ruby has more than two dozen years of experience in revitalizing neighborhoods and commercial district, serving as monitor for the first Enterprise Revitalization Committee for the Ninth Street Corridor.
She also, among other things, founded the Smoketown Pride and Heritage Homecoming Festival, chaired the steering committee of the Economic Development Plan serving both Shelby Park and Smoketown communities, planned and assisted the organization of the Southwick, Newburg, Berrytown and Griffytown Festivals and acted as consultant and advocate for the Wayside Christian Mission.
Ruby proves that Ursuline Associates are not only women and men who are apart of our community in prayer and reflection, but who also walk a path as St. Angela did, serving others as best they can. We thank Ruby for her more than 35 years of community service in Metro Louisville and for the time she’s been a part of our Ursuline family. |
