Contemplative Day of Prayer: Awakening to God

Prayer in the Spirit of Taizé: Known for its beauty, peace and quiet power, Taizé Prayer is practiced throughout the world. It's chants, simple songs, silence, readings and prayer offers an opportunity of eveer-deepening rest in God's presence. It is offered the second Monday of the month: (Jan.14, Feb. 11, March 11, April 8, May 13 & June10) at 7pm in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel.(more)

"Cast your nets out into the deep... Have courage... Be still." These are words we hear from Jesus when he finds himself out in a boat with his disciples. What might Jesus be saying to you as you go about your daily life? During this Contemplative Day of Prayer, you will be invited to listen for God through silence and personal reflection, individual and communal prayer, some reflective input and group sharing. Sabbath Moments: A pinch of yeast, a small seed, a lamp on a table - it was through the most ordinary things of life that Jesus caught glimpses of God; and, so can you. Sister Jean Anne Zappa, OSU, will offer Jesus in Ordinary Time as part of the Sabbath Moment series, Life Lessons from the Life of Jesus. Date & Time: Saturday, February 2, from 10am to 12pm. Location: Ursuline Motherhouse, 3115 Lexington Road. Please enter at the Handicap Access entrance at the rear of the building.  Cost: $10. Bring your lunch and join us for a time of fellowship following the program. (more)
