Angela Merici Center

AMC LOGOThe Angela Merici Center for Spirituality, a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, is an oasis for the heart, mind and spirit for those seeking to nurture their spiritual lives. Our mission is to provide opportunities for individuals and groups to grow in a contemplative love of God that results in an openness and eagerness to serve the needs of others.

Taizé Prayer: The hallmarks of this contemplative prayer are simple songs and chants, silence and scripture readings that create an open heart, mind and soul for God.  It is offered the second Monday of the month:  August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14 and December 12) at 7pm in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel.(more)

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you sing.                                                -Khalil Gilbran

You know what it is like to be thirsty.  You also know the sensation of utter pleasure when the cool liquid hits the back of your throat. Ahh!

Just as your body needs water, your heart, mind and spirit need to drink from the "river of silence."  It is in silence that you are refreshed, revived and restored to your true self.  It is in silenc that you can hear truth. Come away and "drink from the river of silence [so]you shall sing again."  (more)
